H50 may have lost me.

I look at the promos that keep playing for tonights episode and I find myself asking do I really want to waste my time on this?

Surely I'm not the only one feeling this way.

I don't know if I even want to watch tonights episode. Honestly, I'm still recovering from the season finale of SherlockH50 is fast turning into bad TV. Too much of a ( Read more... )

hey nothing is wrong with liking what you like.......

nothing is wrong with falling out of love with a show you used to love -- its a shame but thats just the way life is sometimes.....

I try not to have great expectations of any big network Primetime show - they are bound by rules created 60 years ago when Tv was in its infancy and its never grown up and beyond - unlike shows from other countries like Sherlock - they tend to treat the audience for the most part like adults -- and don't pander to advertisers or certain focus groups which is why Primetime in N. America is so formulaic...

enjoy what you enjoy.....there's no crime in that! :)

I agree with you about the formulaic nature of Primetime TV this mold usually is only broken when you go to cable television shows. I really have tired of H50 because I think that they are so busy trying to appeal to so many demographics that they have lost what's made them special.

:(

I'm also not looking forward to tonight's Hawaii 5-0 and don't think I'll watch it(first time I've missed a first run episode since it started, with the exception of when my tv conked out on me)until I read the comments following it ( ... )

I watched 10 minutes of tonights episode and that was only because I was out and the TV was on that channel when I came back.

I'm with you on the whole Danny/Rachel soap opera thing and the influx of new faces. All of it is turning me off the show.

Now on to Sherlock.

PBS has shown the first episode of season one "Lady in Pink", but I didn't watch it there. I downloaded it. Here's a link with the masterpost of the downloads of season one (I would skip the unaired pilot until after you have watched the other episodes): http://fuckyeahsherlock.tumblr.com/post/6303148873/onelastfix-sherlock-mega-post-unaired-pilot

Again, I do recommend this show the only problem is that you only get 3 episodes a year. :(

If you are interested I will track down the post that has links to the episodes of this season.

I did end up watching it because I was involved in the discussion before the show started and someone said that it was ok in the area I was worried about, and in the end there was Steve and Danny love. It wasn't enough, but it was something.

I have the DVD for the first season of Sherlock, but I've heard people talk about seeing S2 and I can't find it on BBCA at all.
I would love to have links to this season's episodes-thanks!

I don't watch it, but losing the love for a TV show is the worst. I'm feeling that way about Sherlock tbh.

(On a different note: Damian Lewis? Nom)

Love Damian Lewis, although I have to be honest I thought about changing that pic to Benedict Cumberbatch but I'm holding off for the moment.

Can I ask what is making you unhappy about Sherlock? Was it a particular episode?
