(no subject)
wednesday i didnt really do anything.
thursday we had 645 services like we do every week and the orthodox minyan came in while we were praying, interupted out service and asked if anyone had the key to the ark so they could take a torah. and then after they kept coming in and taking prayer books. it was very annoying and changed the whole mood of the service but we have begun to realize two things. one is that in orthodox shuls people walk around and talk as they please. two reform/progressive judaism is not a respected area of judaism so they do not care if they are interupting because to them we arent really praying especially cause we have boys and girls praying together.
anyway. i had a hebrew test on thursday. i hope i did okay. one part was kind of hard but well see. then after i came back and found out maris class had gotten canceled so we went to the library and then we went to the secret wardrobe. and by that i mean the childrens library that we had to get a key for and then we were the only ones. it was amazing. so many books in hebrew that i could actually read and partially understand! then i hung upstairs and vtek and mike came and we had a lovely pasta dinner. we had dyed lauras hair and it looks beautiful i may add. @ 1230 laura, sarah and i got ready to go out. we walked to the bus stop where like 9 or so overseas students were and they invited us to go to Horvah which is a club downtown. so we were like eh. what the hell! so we went and it was such a cool club. it was 3 stories and had so many people and a live band. so we stayed there till about 415 got in a cab and got back to our rooms at 5 am. but it was a fabulously fun night.
friday woke up at 130. sat around for a bit. went to the makolet bought food. kinda just relaxed all day. went for a walk around 10 with ben. we went to this like outlook place that sarah took everyone once. it was so nice out probably in the late 60s/70s. and there were SO many stars. and the city lights were so pretty. so we chilled there and played with the fatty and gingey. (the cats) then we walked back and then we went outside with the hookah and soccer ball and chilled. some boys were playing beruit and then they came and sat with us. so we had about 10 people with us at one point. it was so nice being social. then we came back and went to bed.
now its saturday. hopefully we are going to the festival of festivals but we might end up just doing homework since our papers were due two weeks ago technically but we can turn them in whenever. id like to turn it in this week.
im coming home in 20 days. what am i doing? leave plans if you wanna hang out.
