'It is, what it is' and other bullsh*t

Inspired by a friend's entry describing her recent struggles in life and how she is working on turning things around...here I go...

I used to work with an older woman whose favorite saying was “it is, what it is”. It was her answer and her justification for everything. Now, I understand that people need their platitudes, need to have a motto or ( Read more... )

All the hugs to you, sugar! Keep taking those steps you need to take to feel better, and if there's anything I can do, let me know - I'm always up for listening to an email rant :)

I'm glad to hear you're gonna be writing again, you have always been and will always be one of my favorite writers. You inspire me to get back to the keyboard too. <3

You are too sweet to me! Always have been...

You were my inspiration to post about my troubles. You are such an amazing woman and I truly feel blessed to know you.

So good to hear from you! Living through chaos is never a good thing and then doing work that you hate is even worse! I'm holding thumbs that you'll get something you like doing soon. :-)

As for those goals you've mapped up, you go girl!!!

Keep up the good spirit, can't wait for you next story/chapter to hit my screen.

HUGS!

It's great to hear from you, hon, thanks for letting us know what's happening in your life. I'm sorry to hear things have been so rough and stressful for you, but I truly admire you for starting to make all those changes. Sometimes it's not easy finding the resolve to become proactive and actually make something happen, so go you for doing so, that's great! I hope you'll find a more satisfying job soon and will be able to take some more time for yourself.

As always, I'm of course looking forward to more of your writing. I miss you and your fics around here. You'll always be one of my favourite writers, so hearing that there'll be more at some point definitely made my day. :)

All the best for you, and keep up the determination, resolve and purpose, and also make sure you take the time you need for yourself. Take care! *hugs tight'

One of your favorites even if I make you read WIPs? Thank you, love. You've always been a great supporter!

Oh, absolutely! The fact that you are one of the very select few who can make me read WIPs in the first place already proves your status as a firm favourite, hon. :) ♥

As much as I enjoy your stories, and you know I do, please take the time for you. You sound like you are under a great deal of stress, and it's important to take time JUST FOR YOU. I'm sorry to hear about the problems you're experiencing with your husband (not married), and your job (I've been there, where just getting up is a chore because you know where you're going), your house (umm..maybe just be happy to have somewhere right now and not be made that it's the house from Money Pit?) and your overall feeling of crappiness. Depression is a serious condition, so please take care of yourself. Update when you can or don't, and don't beat yourself up about it, RL is more important than anything that happens in cyber space :)

But cyber space is so much more fun! I can make exquisitely handsome men do very naughty things ;)

Thanks, honey. I appreciate you and, like you said, I am trying to find my silver linings!

Wow, with all that insanity going on, no wonder you're a wee bit overwhelmed. I like your new plans, though. They all sound very positive. I miss your fic terribly, but, under the circumstances, I guess I can be a little more patient. :)

Take care.

See? I'm still horrible at replying. Thanks for the support, honey. Hopefully, I'll have something new for you to read very soon!

If it makes you feel better, I'm just now opening and reading things from early March. I've been selectively pulling out some posts (such as yours) that are newer than that, but on the whole, I've been a super slacker. I also have many other posts before March that are in my "opened but will read later." I am a bad virtual friend.
