very stupid question

how do you get your last name (or any other word, i suppose )to appear with the page number in the upper right corner of Word? Please answer.

Haven't used Word in a while...

but go to the "View" menu I think, then choose "view header". It'll let you put a header at the top of the page. In this header you type your last name and click on the "insert page number" button that should have magically turned up, and you click on the little right-align button to get it on the right side of the page.

I think. Haven't tested it.

Yup, what she said... under "View" then "Header and Footer" :)
