Larry Scanlon has me absolutely obsessed with saying "as it were," as it were. I love it because he says it at least 10 times per period and it means absolutely nothing. I'm not so into The Technology of Orgasm. I also didn't get off much on Laqueur, but in retrospect I'm very happy I read it because it gave me more concrete reference points for concepts I was already obsessed with. But I doubt the same thing will happen with this book. It certainly doesn't offend me, but it makes me seriously dread attending ( Read more... )
