You know, I went to a community college.

Not because of grades or anything, but because 1) I was the poor bum at the #15 slot when it came to scholarships and well, those ended at slot #10, and 2) my parents paid for it. I didn't want them going into massive debt when I didn't want to go to school for the major I had applied for anyways.

Rest assured, I graduated a year ago and I sure as hell am not flipping burgers at Golden Arches U.

No, I only work for one of the major media aggregates in the country and mainly because they LIKED me. So whenever your parents "threaten" with community college, just remember, it's not a threat.

As much as it takes no effort to come up with so much. ;)

Haha, touche. My parents just delight in making the point that I won't ever amount to their lofty standards. My dad's a doctor who went to Vanderbilt for his undergraduate degree, UVA for Medical School, and Ohio State for his residency, and my mom went to Wake Forest. Our community college is way beneath our family, in their eyes. It's all stupid and egotistical, when you get down to it.

You embody my point about the fact that just because you don't go to an ivy league school doesn't mean you won't ever amount to anything. Ridiculous parents.

(Thanks, by the way.)
