you're a goober...je_adore_moiJune 10 2008, 23:42:57 UTC
I'm glad I'm not the only OCD iTunes person out there (it's just worse when you're in school b/c you're spending precious sleep time organizing your music).. I have an album art retriever widget that I would date if I could lol... it took you that long to download 'Final Straw'? SHAME ON YOU!
so back at good old PSC... ballin'
alas, I get to babysit the Brusly house and the cat this weekend and this makes me slightly cooler than you (but I don't know how)...
Yeah, I should have clarified the circumstances surrounding Final Straw. See, what had happened was, when Kristen and I were together, I loaned it to her so she could discover how magical that damn album is. She did.. and then we broke up. When I talked to her a couple months ago, she said she still listens to it. I'll have you know I know every word to every song on that album. That's all I have to say about that.
How was the babysitting this weekend? Did the cat turn 127 years old?
I can only imagine the superiority of my music collection if I ever decided to quit school. One can only dream....
Facebook ftw, definitely.
For you: The Best of the Gin Blossoms, The Strugglers, the new John Mayer, Bon Iver, and The Smiths.
BTW, Snow Patrol makes my life, but Final Sraw is just okay. If you really want to change your life, get Eyes Open. That whole CD is magical. I love it. Every single song. Also, I recently bought Aqualung's Mystery Man and oh my gosh....it is so great. It really hasn't left my CD player since I got it. I'm so glad I broke down and spent the money. So worth it.
Congratulations on your new office and decreased stress level :).
The Best of the Gin BLossoms, eh? That should be nostalgic. Oh the awkwardness that was junior high.. Whoa. I just launched into a long daydream. It's these damn office windows.
As for Snow Patrol, see above comment. I actually have Eyes Open but I haven't really given it much time yet. It'll be extremely hard to top Final Straw, but that may be due to everything I was going through when I got into it. I think that's my favorite thing about music- the way you can re-feel things. I still terribly scared someone's going to kidnap me when I hear Soul Asylum's "Runaway Train". Go watch the video. Creepy shit.
One last thing: Memory Man = Awesome. I half.com-ed it a few months back (because if you haven't caught on yet, I'm an Aqualung freak), and fell in love. Vapor Trail and Broken Bones (5 and 12, I think) are my favorites. If you don't have Strange and Beautiful, let me know. I also have Aqualung, their European album. Ok, I'm done.

Eyes Open is actually kind of awkward for me to listen to as well but it didn't kill the magic, thank goodness. That would be tragic.
