OMG! Thank you so much! This was so pretty! I love the way you described everything. I love that they find a place to have a nice evening. Thank you again!

Yay! Thank you. Yes, pretty is how I'd describe it too. :-) Thanks for waiting so long! You get a "Waited a Long Time For My Ficathon Fic" medal.

Lovely! Nice and warming to read on a frigid night. :-)

I LOLed at the tickling, and sighed at the fireworks magic, and the blades of grass fleeting by.

Thanks! The tickling was courtesy of SK. "Playful Jack" was a tough prompt for me!

This is very lovely! The nostalgic fair, the ferris wheel, and of course the poor man where Jack is shooting a stuffed animal for Daniel. *lol*

I'm sure Daniel loved it because Jack loved it and it was a perfect afternoon/evening for them.

Very nice story!

Thank you!! Yes, Daniel loved it because Jack loved it, at least as much as anything else.

This is so quietly beautiful. Wonderful reflectiveness on Daniel's part, and such a nice break from the crazy for both of them. (Okay, fried Oreos and piglet racing are a little crazy. :D)

The crazy part is, both the fried Oreo and the racing piglets were real experiences I've had at fairs around here! :-)

Thanks for commenting, too!

Quietly beautiful, like green_grrl said.

Your writing is always so atmospheric, and so full of well observed details. I really enjoyed this -- I loved how they made an oasis of "in the moment" for themselves, which is very rare in their perilous lives.

I love your writing. Thank you for participating in the ficathon this year. It's great to get to be inside your fic again. We miss you.

:D

Oh thank youI I think of you as a role model in the atmospheric category, so I really appreciate that.

This really was just all I had in me - I felt like "Value" was really the end of the stories I had to tell about them, so this one was almost out of space and time, no plot, just a few moments.

SK passes along your posts from time to time - don't worry, I'll get my Peg B writing up at area 52 one of these days - I haven't gone far! (Technically, I've stayed exactly right where I always was! :-) Though my brain has really moved on to Avengers fandom. And, oddly, in a small way, other DC characters.)

I totally understand about moving on from certain fandoms. I doubt I could write Frodo and Sam, or Jim and Blair, to save my life nowadays, but I still adore them.

That was one reason I was so delighted to see that you felt moved to revisit these guys!!! And I need to reread "Value." Is it on AO3? Or maybe on your website….

I am very glad you are planning on archiving your Peg B stuff somewhere accessible. You remain one of my all time favorite SG1 writers. I go back to your stories over and over. Thanks again for all the fic.

Also, I'm reading a lot of Avengers these days, so if you write them, I will be SO THERE. :) When you write Avengers, where do you post it? Your LJ?

Happy New Year.

PS Thank you so much for your kind words about my writing! *blushes*
