India would be amazing! do it!
I hear it's pretty easy to get a decent job there too, since alot of customer service/call centre stuff is outsourced there.

I am living vicariously through you until I finish my degree, so go go go!

ohh man, i wish i was back in asia too! Laos was such an amazing country, i left a little of my heart behind.

it's the bug though, once you travel, you can't stop.
and it seems you haven't. and i love it.

I'm on my way to europe next year to live/galavant.
india's on my list as well. I see myself getting lost over there...

I know what you mean about the experiences..... mama_ktm December 13 2006, 18:02:11 UTC
When i was 15, I went to the southern baja of mexico on a missions trip with my church. We lead day camps for the kids but i barely knew any spanish at all. There was this little girl Meli that i just bonded with instantly. She was about 4 years old. The first day i was just sitting on a ledge and i had braids in my hair, she came up and started playing with my braids and we were instantly inseperable. I was there for 2 weeks and developed this bond with her and the other kids. even though we didn't speak the same language I was able to communicate with them and it was so hard to leave.

no matter what your circumstances are, its totally normal to question if you're doing that right thing. Trust me, everyone does it, whether or not they're traveling. By all means, if you're unhappy where you are, do something about it. The best thing you can do for yourself is to take what you can from your current situation and move on when the time is right. I'm sure if you were here you'd be like "man i wish i was back in Australia still".

Also, don't think that what you're doing isn't "normal". Everyone has their own path and maybe right now, your path is to do a butt load of traveling. That, plus you couldn't be normal if you tried :P
