i dont believe in an interventionist god
but i know darling that you do
but if i did i would kneel down and ask him
not to intervene when it came to you
and not to touch to touch a hair on your head
but to leave you as you are
and if he felt he had to direct you
to direct you into my arms

Yeah, that is a good song. I read out the lyrics to my mum once like the poetry they are. She said "beautiful, who's that?" and I said "Nick Cave" and she was all like NO! Because she hates Nick Cave you know. I love challenging people's perceptions. Don't you?

hm, not really. in general id rather we all just got along and were ourselves (assuming those two things can co-exist). i would challenge someone's perceptions if they did something like hate nick cave, but its better if they like him in the first place. on the other hand, im jealous your mum has heard of nick cave, it was a stretch one time for my dad to identify what i was listening to as The Cure :(

Oh dear oh dear. That's quite heavy. It's like The Sex Pistols never happened, or something.
