I won't be back until Thanksgiving... and probably only for a couple of days.

You could visit almost anytime... other than a N.Y. trip on the 12th, I think I'm open. Be warned that I'm crunching to try and finish as much stuff before December.

Aren't we all...So, Boice- I'm thinking of concentrating in East Europe...taking Russian or some other Cyrillic language. Any ideas? Joe thinks I'm nuts.

Wait a minute. I never said you were nuts. I just said that everytime you learn about a new area you think about concentrating in that area. I think you should learn about every area of History before declaring a concentration.

I have enough of a general overview to know what I want...I want a region of the world that was influenced by many different factors. Eastern Europe's history is amazing- Stuck betweent the Greek and Latin sides of the Roman Empire, Huge amounts of ethnic problems, Every religion you could think of (...except maybe the Quakers...they didn't get into the Carpatians much...). It's an amazing blend of East and West, and it's an area that I know the least about.

And you do think I'm nuts :)
