its so true. and whats worse, i never thought it would come back. i thought we learned that lesson. but no.....there was a revival of blossom hats and hammer pants.
i havent seen that version. i always see it on netflix, but i'm so attached to the late 70s radio version that it would feel like cheating.
Well, now we have a grunge revival, of sort: you're starting to see a lot more plaids (but brighter this time around), boots, and lots of layers. Converse has seen a resurgence and lots of people are imitating their look. Sweaters are looking more like casual crew-neck sweatshirts.
All the polo shirts this spring made me think we'd be circling back around to the late 50's. I'm hoping for the 20's.
I don't know that Converse ever went out of style, but there was a resurgence of interest in the brand during the last two years or so.
I don't expect men to start all wearing zoot suits and stuff either. I'm thinking we might see the same cuts and fabrics, suspenders, pageboy and hudson style caps... but if I could predict these things accurately, I'd be making money in the fashion industry I guess, rather than managing databases.

I have noticed more people wearing plaids as well.
It would be nice to see some of the 20s fashion loop around, but I fear too much casualness has gotten into men's fashion for that to really happen.
