Why do we have it so good?

Sometimes I hate being an American, and not for the reasons you'd think. I hate the fact that we have it so good. I hate the fact that we worry about social security and wether or not to send our kids to private school. I hate the fact that we have to choose between 11 different colors for the paint job of our new cars. Why do we get it so good?

we have it so good b/c we trample over everyone to get what we want. it is working for us now, but sooner than we think and when we least expect it, we will pay for it all. no bad thing goes without it concequence, i just pray that the consequence is not something too bad, b/c not all of us who do out part deserve it. thanks for thinking about us folks in africa or of african decent!

Watch Hotel Rwanda, Obi. I feel like an Ass Hole after watching that movie, just because my life is so good. I even saw something the other day in the movie "Sahara." A guy said that nobody will worry about a problem that he is causing because "This is Africa. Nobody Cares about Africa." That pisses me off, because it's so true about the rest of the world's governments. Nobody cares, nobody helps Africa. The rest of the world just rapes the motherland and leaves her children to starve or die of disease. But I don't need to tell you that, I'm just bitching at how much it angers me.

the sad thing is that African leaders do it to their own people while they live a life of luxury in their carved out "Little America" in Africa or in The United States itself. the help needs to first start with the Africans and the leaders as a people and as a whole before we can ask or accept help. i will see Hotel Rwanda soon. Mom and Dad did and it reminded them of what happened in the Biafrian War. Both of my parents went through it, but they came out alive by the grace of God. later hun!

Hey Christina, thanks for understanding what I wrote. It feels good to know that other people out there care about more than just themselves. It's also cool that you found me in the surf community, let's me know that we surfers can do more than just look good and have fun, we can change things. Know that surfing has a strong voice these days, if you want to make a difference, people will listen. I'll add ya to my list. Peace Out.
