Its strange how we can sometimes feel like our home is no longer home. How what was once so comforting can all of a sudden feel empty and strange.
I remember feeling that way about my parent's place when they were going through a rough time. A bit different than your experience but I feel i can relate in the way that it suddenly became a very lonely place and I no longer felt it was home.
Maybe its your spirit memory that was welcoming you home when you were in Europe.. do you have ancestry from there?
