We live in the city and the kids go to a rural school 7 miles away.  I always take the secondary roads as apposed to the outer belt because the secondary roads have curves and hills and take you along the river.  We have seen deer, raccoons, hawks, geese, and ground hogs (which are my personal favorite).  Today as we rounded the bend we had to stop

I have never seen as many wild turkey as I have this year..they're all over the place..yes and great fun to watch.
