I think 'slider' is more of a generic term for any sort of really small hamburger. My first experience with the term was at a cheesecake factory back in 1996. And White Castle isn't gross..it's greasy goodness! (ok, maybe it is gross when you think about what you're doing to yourself when you eat them - but still - you have to give them credit for being able to pack that much grease into something so small)
