I like to be told the truth, and I believe Rachel Maddow does exactly that in the below clip.
She explains the true reason why Republicans blocked the Defense Authorization Bill (which contained Don't Ask Don't Tell: 'DADT').

A federal judge recently declared DADT 'unconstitutional', and rightly so! It is a disgrace that such a law is allowed

Late as usual, but still want to chime in-

Several things sadden me about this whole situation: the fact that this is still an issue and basic civil rights are being denied, and that the people who have been elected to represent the country are NOT doing so. Based on the polls, this should be a no-brainer.

Yet I know eventually this will be corrected.
