Lacy makes some pretty awesome suits. (fursuiting.com) Kinda depends on the look you want to go for when commissioning. Are you after toony, or realistic? I have only had my suit for 4 or so months but I can tell you everything is done really well on it and has held up so far (there were a couple issues with the claws coming off but she has since fixed the way she attaches them). All the sewing work and all was very well done and very pleasant to deal with. Hope you enjoy whoever you choose, just wanted to mention her and Nick cause they make nice suits. :)

It depends on what I'd be going for... If it's JD again, then it'd be on the toony side. If I decide on the feline (probably a tiger), I'd be leaning toward the more realistic, and not so happy-go-bouncy.

Media...that is who is commissioning my suit. I commissioned him in Feb it will be done by MFF- if not sooner. He has a quick turn around, is relatively inexpensive, and really does an awesome job.

He is a great guy. I would go with a new character- but not retire JD...simply because, he IS JD. He is very well known and people love that character and have gotten to know him. :)

A new character would be a great twist...I am not retiring my phin, even though she looks goofy. You are a performer, have a lot of suits to perform as. ;) It will help you build your own characters and soon you will have a collection and you can jump into whichever one you want depending on your mood. :)

Oh yeah - I totally forgot about Media!! He's an awesome guy - love hangin' with him, and he's puttin' out some really awesome stuff as of late. Shame I can't edit polls *shakes fist at LJ*

But I honestly am thinking about retiring JD 'cuz it's kinda just "that time" - you know, some people say it's better to duck out while on a high note.

Trust me, I'd LOVE to quit my day job and just watch the days going by building my JD army... but alas I've got bills to pay. I've heard NYC can be expensive...

Only if I'm able to buy 2 ;)

But really, what're your recommendations? It's ok for you to vote for yourself, lol!

I like your comparison to applying to college. Really spot on.

And good intuition ;)

it says I can't see the poll >:P You know my vote ;P
But also, I'll plug my girl of Azure Coyote studios. She is still a bit on the cheap side and she always gets stuff done on time.

But yeah, if you go with us, we will be sure to fill any of
your specifics :)
