Remember when I was a freshman in college and borrowed a digital camcorder. And only had a 30GB harddrive. And backed up all the video to CD-Rs?

It's really fun transferring those back to a 2TB harddrive.

Raked the front lawn. Then the basement sewer drain backs up. 2" of waste on the basement floor. Dealt with the plumber. Bleach-cleaned the laundry room floor. Semi-ditched on plans for the evening. Sometime around November 2001, Nathan Maus brought his camcorder to the Pioneer Hall dorms.

I just found the footage from those nights.

Not nostalgic because it was some magical, formative, part of my life.

But nostalgic because it was part of my life. And it's in video.

My bedroom is a mess, the bathroom is a mess. But the shower surround is almost finish. And then it will be time to clean.

Busy week coming up. 5 9+ hour work days in a row, plans 4 of the nights. Then an early 1/2 day, flight to Milwaukee. Wedding. Flight to Detroit, to Pittsburgh. Etc.

I just grouted for about 4 hours. WTF.

It got a little sloppy at the end. And I didn't clean up.

But it's done.

Very much enjoyed playing tennis today with Ian. A couple of more weeks, some work on my serve, and I think I should be able to enjoy and compete in a 3.5 league. Maybe doubles? That could be fun ( Read more... )
