I've been goofing around with the kid, playing horsey. He's saying things like "giyyup horsie," "hee haw," and "ahoy, matey" while bouncing around on my back. It's cracking me up. Gotta love kids. hehe

I have over 20k words on my YA fantasy novel so far. Some parts have been extremely hard to write; others have flowed forth with me just trying to keep up. I just finished the second half of a scene, about 1200 words that took me about three days and some advice from one of my friends on the Writer's Digest forums. Jason is off at his aunt's this weekend, so last night C and I went out for a movie. Meet the Spartans is so Gosh Darn Funny! It is so on our To-Buy list when it comes to video. We laughed so much. My new icon!

It was ridiculously easy to save the icon, but C had to finagle it down in size to fit lj requirements.

I found an icon I want to use here. I'm going to have to hunt to see if I can find it if I can't get my forumite to send it to me. I'm gonna have to get this miniseries in DVD when it's available. I thought it was awesome. It was a very interesting take on the Wizard of Oz. And at the same time DG isn't The Dorothy who went to the O.Z. That was someone many generations earlier, that DG was named for. Very cool.

I'm watching Tin Man on tv. I'd seen a few commercials for it, so now I'm sitting here when I should be in bed already. It's a really interesting take on the story. The commercials breaking up the movie are rather annoying, but I don't want to wait to rent it now. Oh well, I'll try to take a nap tomorrow I guess. It'll be neat to see how it ( Read more... )
