I'm with you man. As you know I've tried a couple of different ways of making money in this industry and it didn't work. I don't think I'm looking at it as a viable primary source of income anymore. That being said, I enjoy my art (whether it be painting or drawing comics) and will always have some side project milling in my mind. If, by chance, it's good enough to put out there then I'll do so. If it does well, then, hey, I made some extra cash and got lucky. But if that never happens, that's okay too. I'm doing something that I love and is cathartic for me.

Always do something because you just want to, you get more out of it.

Hey, I hear what you're saying. We picked a tough road to hoe, and in the face of daily responsibilities it's hard to keep up the old enthusiasm sometimes. In the end it comes down to Follow Your Bliss. If comics make you happy, but the struggle takes that away, then do what makes you happy, not stressed. We can't help but make art, that will never change. And there's nothing wrong with enjoying a beautiful home with your loving wife. That's a daily reward, my friend.
