Is it just me/ 'puters I own?

For some reason, my 'puter has decided Flash is dead to it

Ok. The nitty gritty. I'm afraid I have a virus of some sort. At the same time that nearly EVERY page was telling me I needed a plug-in that I didn't have (Flash... which I then went to the website to try and install with no success), my puter can no longer allow me to go to hibernate, cuz if I do, it experiences some sort of issue so that (it sounds like) the computer itself is on, but the monitor cannot turn itself back on, causing me to take matters into my own hands and disconnect the cord and remove the battery, wait a bit and turn it back on

Oh yeah, and then I was using my old computer, which I barely use for anything, and I had the same issue come up, being like, hey you need additional plugins or whatever, go to the flash player site, it starts downloading fine, and now it's having a black screen of death... I'm literally afraid my hard drive or mother board is done (that might be the same thing... I'm not sure, but basically I mean to say I think that computer is now COMPLETELY dead...)

and to be a little more specific, I cannot do ANYTHING, like watch a you tube video or go on to myspace and see everything. It's ridiculous.
