Hahaha, I have a similar story.

My bf & his friend own a small business & they rent a very small office in a very crappy building in a very not-lovely part of town. My bf goes home one afternoon & his friend is still in the office, sleeping or something. They didn't realize that the doors (upstairs & down) both lock from the outside. He goes to leave & finds that he's locked inside the entire building, on the 2nd floor. He ends up removing the lock for the upstairs door, but can't do it on the downstairs door, since it's the outside entrance & is reinforced.

So what does he do? He proceeds to SMASH THE DOOR DOWN & cause huge damage & totally ruin the lock. Thankfully, he told the landlord right away, but he had to pay for the new door & new lock & new keys for all the tenants.

Ya know what gets me is he came in at 6pm and by 4am everything he had to do woulda been done (nothing he was doing was so important that it couldn't have gotten finished the next day) and well he had his keys on him cause he tried to get in, any other person in the world would have shrugged their shoulders and called it a night and went home. It wouldn't have been a big deal now it's a major fuckin event.

Seriously we have this meeting today to see if we both get fired. If the door didn't get broken we wouldn't be having this meeting.

And as an update the door will cost between $3000 and $4000, Couldn't he have broke a door in Hollywood? It woulda been $100.
