Something about posting to a blog feels sort of anonymous. Even if people reading an entry know who you are, a lot of it still feels like talking to a big black void... just kind of letting this giant nothingness know what's going on, and knowing that it's just going to take it all in and not judge you or make suggestions or offer sympathy. I don't even know who reads my journal now, really... but I'll still write in it just because of that ( ... )

I love you, Jeremy. (It's Mandi, ya?)

Best friends are different things to different people, honeybunches. You've always been a social butterfly, so you don't spend a lot of time (as far as I've ever been to tell) being introspective or open about private/emotional things - either to yourself or other people. If you're at the point where you think you need someone to talk to instead of just hanging out and "doing stuff" I'm sure some of your older friends would be willing to listen. Just because you don't talk about stuff doesn't mean people aren't going to be there for you.

If you aren't comfortable doing that you could also consider just seeing a therapist once a month to chat - some of them are perfectly willing to just let a person talk about their troubles, so you don't have to worry about being diagnosed weird things or given medication, and it takes away some of the inhibitions you'd have talking to someone closer to you.

How is Emily, anyway? & I'm moving in a couple weeks so are we gonna hang out and talk?

That's understandable. I heard somewhere that you mourn someone for 1 year for every 2 that you knew them. Or something like that.

How the hell is Emily, anyway? I figure you're closest to her because you 1) practically raised her, 2) because you're her big brother AND you raised her she idolizes you, I'm sure, and is probably one of the only people in your family who wouldn't leap to judge you if you step a foot out of what they consider "in line."

I don't know. You can talk to me. I miss talking to you. I miss you. You were my best friend for my whole life and then we suddenly don't talk anymore. It's really sad.
