Random lyrics meme
Inspired by this meme showing up all over my friends list, and by needing something to do while running long distances doing errands in FF-XI, I've done my slightly eccentric take on the random lyrics meme. Updated 3/18 with 6 of 15 guessed.
Step 1: Put your MP3 player or whatever on random.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 15 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!
In my case, the "whatever" is my 300 CD changer, which a couple of months back finally filled up; I'm having to start to prune old stuff out. The stuff I've got on there for various reasons is varied enough that All Discs Shuffle is pretty much useless, except for novelty memes like this :)
After some deliberation, I put the first intelligable English words on the track, even if they were spoken word... where to draw the line at what is narration and what is lyrics is a can of worms I didn't feel up to. Some of these had one or another sort of non-word vocalization before the words, below all represented by "Ooooo..." for simplicity. Deciding where to break is also somewhat arbitrary, with the general intent of giving roughly similar lengths for everything.
For extra credit, many (most even) of the following songs are not from their original source. Some are from collections, and a lot of them are from soundtracks. Try and guess what movie, etc. if you're feeling particularly clever.
