What’s a Drabble?
A drabble is a very short story, if you can call it that, which is supposed to be exactly 100 words in length. I don’t always like reading them very much, because they can feel hollow and pointless, but they’re a very good exercise in economy and can often lead to good ideas ( Read more... )

So scandalous and sexual! And curse-filled! But very nice writing. And good dialog. My favorite was the countdown one.

It's probably a bit off-balancing for some people, but one of the things I've been trying to do is write dialogue that doesn't sound very much like me, and I think I was probably successful in that respect. I was quite pleasantly surprised to find that five so complete scenes emerged. One of the things that you have, which I very much wish I did, is that writing comes naturally to you. This is part of what I am trying to achieve. Even writing those took probably a lot longer than it would have for you to write the same thing, and I had to work at it. But for some reason, it was nonetheless a little easier than usual. I must say, I definitely didn't do them during the songs, I didn't even start while listening to the songs. The quickest one was either the vampire and the Martian or the obsesssive artist one, both of those took about 15 minutes. Almost want to write more now though. Perhaps less sex/romance next time. that was an accidental running theme. Having said that, you wrote all yours in the same world, and that worked, so I don ( ... )
