“Stop calling me short, you diva.” Daiki's attempt to look furious simply got the other squealing louder.
“Aww~ It's not a bad thing!” Takaki petted his hair. “You're so adorable, Dai-chan. There's nothing wrong with being small!”
“I'm supposed to be tall and sexy!” Daiki swatted at his hand, irritated. Takaki wasn't small. Takaki didn't understand his pain. Takaki was going to get his pretty hair ripped out in two seconds.
“...True.” Takaki mused before turning to Chinen. “Chii~ Will you take Dai-chan and give us Keito?”
With a yell, Daiki body slammed him.

Year three: Confidently walking around like she already owned the world. A little one repeating history in her footsteps.
Year four, five, six, seven, eight, nine: Did they really pass that fast? When had this happened? He sighs, watching them both. Though still just children, he knows that someday they'll be teens, adults even. Someday he'll have to let go.
It's easier to hold on when they're small.

There are things in life you just can't have, no matter how much you want them. Inoo would never be manly, Hikaru's english wasn't going to stop failing (anytime soon?) Takaki was not going to be married with kids in five years.
“Yuuyan~” Chinen was crawling onto his lap, eyes dancing with excitement and Takaki wondered what he'd missed. The tiny boy curled up in his lap and Takaki just looked at him, marveling at how tiny the sixteen year old still was.
He was contented though. Chinen was supposed to stay young and tiny and Takaki's baby forever.
