Snake Charmer, Not A Chimpanzee

YamaRyo doesn’t think he’s ever seen Yara-kun without his pet snake wrapped around his arm or neck or at least draped over his shoulders. True, the man is the resident Snake Charmer, but he’s always thought that those snakes were kept in baskets or whatever.
He makes a bet with Takahashi that Yara-kun even sleeps with the snake draped around him, and probably in the nude.
“…Where are you going with this thought?” Takahashi wonders, looking at him askance. “But okay, I’m in, ten bucks.”
“Wanna find out?” Yara leers at them both when he hears about the bet.

AN: hmmm, looking at this objectively, I'm not sure that it can actually be considered "pet"... if it doesn't count then oh well~
When the chimpanzee who's part of the animal show falls ill, someone jokes that they should just have Senga take its place instead.
“I’m not a chimpanzee!” Senga yells, affronted.
But everyone is amused by the idea, and consequently Senga finds it a hard task to avoid the sly mentions of “chimpanzee-kun” whenever he’s around. He tolerates it with passably good humor, until he goes home during the off season and finds even his mother laughing about it.
Sitting down to dinner, he wonders what she’s tittering about until he looks down and finds a banana in his rice bowl.
