I don't really know anything about the workplace, but I don't see why that wouldn't have an effect on the amount that people are paid. But I do think women are percieved differently from men also, and this has an effect on the amount they are paid, promotions, etc. as well.

By "that" I am presuming you are referring to the "25 different workplace choices." If this is incorrect, I apologize.

Firstly, I recommend you listen to the lecture, it's a nice thing to put on while you are doing something else, I listen to them while doing some mindless math homework.

Secondly, imagine yourself as a business person. Suppose two employees are equally skilled, but one works 40 hours a week and the other works 50. Which will you pay more? Obviously the one who works more. If men work more, then they are likely to get paid more, and thus what is rationally based on something other than gender looks like discrimination. A similar situation exists for most of the other traits and these traits are more often observed in men.

when you say you "listen to them", do you mean there is some database of lectures somewhere that you just pick out which one you want to listen to every now and then? i'd be interested in such a thing.

Did you read the post? Did you listen to what the guy said? He was on the board of directors of NOW, the book is primarily about what women can do to make money if they want it.

Just because I'm a Republican asshole, doesn't mean I'm a Republican chauvinist asshole. :)
