I loved this. It was everything I would have wanted from this prompt and more . When my co-mod and i first decided on the prompt, I was secretly hoping that someone would take the metaphorical approach at it. And you did. So, this to me, is like a Christmas present come early. The reward for all my modding work. I am not 100% sure if this was your intention but I pretty much saw the whole fic in grayscale/faded colours with pinks and loved that image. I loved how you attached the colours to emotions, I loved how poetic the whole story sounded and I loved the Through The Looking Glass references. I also loved how it read like a closure fic for the 6 nin NEWS. Characters wise, I adored the way you wrote Shige - the insecurities and the way he is trying so hard to find a place for himself - and how he views Pi. I have to say first that I don't usually read this pairing (or anything with Pi, actually), but I am glad I read this because I love it so much <3 It is a truly beautiful piece of work. I love how you added in the colours and SHIGE OMG SHIGE. I love your portrayal of Shige and his feelings for Pi, the use of metaphors and omg the Through the Looking Glass references *___* I love how easily them fit in there and the parallels to your storytelling.
Thank you so much for writing this! <3

In other words, I really loved this fic. It was beautifully written, and subtle but strong at the same time and felt realistic. I loved how it was concentrated on Shige and how the relationship complimented his growth, and how all of the emotions felt real and in-character (at least to how I perceive them). The mood was absolutely spot on and I loved loved the metaphors and the description of everything, basically *___*
And my inner Ryo!fangirl loved that you inserted him in there too, bullying Shige like he should :3
Also everything that was said in the previous comments, I was so happy to find this lovely piece of fanfiction <3
RyoPi icon because I have no Shige >.>;;
