What an intense rollercoaster ride. I was still waiting for Jun relapsing, and I did see poor baby Nino's paranoia coming, but I have to say I enjoy stories that aren't all sunshine and rainbows from time to time. Thank you for writing, anon.

Thank you! See, in my initial outline Jun's feelings were going to be more ambiguous and he probably was going to go back to his 'old life' but oh man, I couldn't add any more angst without going crazy LOL.

I'm glad you liked it!

This was so very wow, in a lot of ways. The setting and plot is grey-turned-darker in the most intriguing fashion, while the relationships between the characters are warm and light and perfect for making me anxious for the outcome of it all. Your Sakumoto is crisp and fresh and sharply amusing and full of longing, creating a vulnerably sweet atmosphere. I loved the plot twists, and the development, and the bittersweetness of the ending. Nino is so interesting in this, and I'm so glad that he did right by all of them in the end, even though he shouldn't ever have had to do so. Hopefully there's a future for him, to, and not just behind bars.

Thank you, and Happy Holidays! =D

Thank you so much for this nice comment! Nino was really the most interesting character to me in this, and that happens a lot when I write him. I like to take all the prickliest bits of him and just amp them up ;)

I had a lot of dark things going on here, so I'm glad the little bits of light and humor did come through.

Dear anon, you promised angst and boy, angst we got! I've started reading this doc on a train but stopped, realizing that I needed the time to read it in one go because I wouldn't be able to handle cliff hangers :)

The plot was very intriguing (at points it reminded me of shallow grave - which is a good thing) and i was really happy you didn't transform the boys into heroes just to make Arashi shine. :) I felt especially bad for Nino, watching him going from bad to worse... And the bittersweet ending was just perfect.

Woo woo, angst alert! Sometimes I just can't help it

And Shallow Grave is one of my favorite movies EVER (mostly because of Ewan McGregor LOL), and in this, Sho is pretty much Ewan's character...and Nino is Christopher Eccleston, so I definitely couldn't end it the way the movie did! Eep!!

Thank you!

Ha, then I wasn't mistaken and Shallow Grave served as a source of inspiration. I love that movie to pieces (no pun intended)...

But I'm glad you didn't let it end the way the movie did. I don't think I could have handled it if Sho, Nino and Jun had shared the same fate as David, Alex and Juliet - especially after re-watching the movie. ;)
