A lot of versions for the same video

I'm kinda tired of adding 4621365256 versions of the same performance/pv to the index.
Lately the updates are huge and this is making me procrastinate a lot when I have to update. I don't want to get tired of updating the index because I know it's quite useful and a lot of people need it,and I want it to be up to date, so I need to do something

The hard part about Pvs and perfs is that some major subbing groups with really good quality in their projects won't bother with these because they have series to sub for. So it's left for individuals who may not check their work critically enough that mistakes are made that glares to viewers.

Do you have mods to check quality subs for most JE groups? Mods might help you check if the work overwhelms you.

You're so right about big fansub groups and perf subbers...

No, I don't have mods. Well, the thing is that I didn't(don't) wanted to discriminate or I don't know, not add some subs bc of quality, I just thought 'I'll add everything so people can choose' but I guess I didn't thought this would get so big...
I still don't feel like choosing between subbers so I guess I'll just go with the faster. Not really a good solution but I can't come up with anything better right now.

well, quite honestly, i don't have a solution to your problem. however, i can only say, "ganbatte!"

fans like me truly appreciate what you do, keeping an index, and updating it whenever new subs pop up. i refer to your index on an almost daily basis, and truly am thankful to you, for doing what most fans are too lazy to.

uhmm.. more work for you tho, the journal of newshfan is gone, along with the links of a number of single-versioned subs. so, please do something about it.

Is there anyway to put up a comment thread for any of the performances and PVs?

For example, you could post maybe 2 versions of a PV - one locked and another open. In addition, provide a link for a thread where other subbers can simply post their version.

Maybe those subbers who want to experience the "joy" of being in the index can simply post their own links there. I know random people can simply flood that thread but if you could filter the people who could post there, it should be no problem.

Also, it may not necessarily a thread. If there are any ways for other subbers to post their links (which would be a great help for you! letting others do your work. :D), that would be good too. :) Your only work would be to provide the link where others can post.

I'm sorry if what I'm saying is impossible, I really am not familiar with any lj stuff. >_< I

Your idea implies that the subbers themselves have to go to a post somewhere to post their subbed videos, and I really don't think they'll be up to that. And If I have to do it (post those videos somwhere) well, that will give me more work and currently I'm really busy lol
It's not like it's a bad idea, but you know hehe
I tried to do something like that but with "future projects" so there wouldn't be so many subbed versions of the same video, and almost all the subbers that commented there, told me that they probably weren't up to update that list frecuently, so I guess with subed perfs will be the same :/

Anyway, thanks for the idea, really apreciated, and sorry for the late reply!! Really busy lately in RL ^^

Just, 5 PV and 2 perf is ok. Look at the screencap they provide and decide to add them or not xD Fastest sub is not always good sub so ...

I know I'm not in a position to say things like this :)) I'm a PV and perf subbers :)) Apparently people wanna be the first and sub with lightning speed XD

[Or you should just find someone who knows lots about subbing group to rank some fansub group, then you just have to add PV and perfs from them ...]

Ohhhmg, lol sorry hun I reply to this veryyy late :( I'm busy and procrastinating a lot lately.
I think I will decide of a number of pfs and pvs, and that will be it, I'm not gonna get crazy over this, this takes enough work as it is already lol

to see whether there's already a subb version exist before deciding to start a project

*Suggestion*
Maybe for those having > 5 subb version
You might want to just create a LJ thread so that subbers would just post their own link inside.
Concept would be something like a forum thread.
Then index page would just post the thread link.
