Question.

This is my first time participating so I'm a bit unsure about the file I'm supposed to submit.

Does the file have to include the karaoke track in the background, or can it just be my voice at the right times? Because when I record the karaoke track sounds like it's very far away and it's not even with the volume of my voice. Since whoever is mixing has the track, is it ok if my file is only my voice?
The timing should be correct since I listen to the karaoke track on my ipod while I record.

Otherwise, is there a free program I can download that will let me play a track and record simultaneously? Because as it is I have to play the track on my music player and record my voice through a different program that's running at the same time.

I apologize for my ignorance, as this is my first time doing any kind of online karaoke. Any help is greatly appreciated!^^

There's a program called audacity. Just um, goggle it and it'll pop up. If you download it and open it, you can drag the karaoke track in and record your voice along with it :D Oh and, don't drag tracks that have Japanese characters in the files name or it won't work!

So far as I know, we only submit our voices to this post and someone else would be mixing the words together.

I don't know if it's just me, but Box.net says the karaoke file's too large, and I have to pay for it to be uploaded,
