Dude? $400 a month? Crazy. I pay like $250, and that's enough of a burden. I can't even imagine what his insurance payments are (mine are high enough, but I'm sure his are through the roof ( ... )

I'm pretty sure I'm going to 'help' John pick his classes for college. I'm pretty good at that stuff. I can't tell you how many councilors I've talked to that have no flipping clue what they were doing. Unless their objective was to get you to take a bunch of useless classes that would never work toward a major and waste all you money.

Now that I stay at home with kids you don't know how many times I wish I got a teaching degree. I mean what the hell am I going to do with a Business Management degree after staying at home for 6 years.

i completely disagree with john waiting to find out what he wants to do before going to college. i felt like actually taking all those stupid core corriculum classes help me decide what to do. remember? i wanted to be a forensic scientist. i was majoring in biology. but i failed genetics and got a sympathy pass in all my chemistry classes. but in the mean time i took a silly criminal justice class at montomery community college that i loved even before i decided on changing majors.
i feel that if i had waited, i NEVER would have gone to college. i HATED school. i still hate school. i don't want to get my masters, and i probably never will. but right after high school, you're still used to going to school. if he starts going to work, and getting paid, and living on his own...plfffth.
