My fourth and final grandson, Seth Alan has arrived. He was 8 days late. He weighed in at 8lbs, 15.2 ozs and born at 3:05am PST (same time of day as his mother did) today, January 11, 2005. His mother Rebecca and he are both doing well. I can't wait for pictures!

DAY 752 - My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. Wow, pretty interesting news. If you can't smell strawberry, smoke, soap, menthol, clove, pineapple, natural gas, lilac, lemon and leather, you likely will develop Alzheimer's.

while listening to Law & Order SVU, it's on in the other room, the suspect - a necrophiliac, whiningly exclaims to the police "but you can't trust a woman with a pulse!". I don't know why but this struck me as very funny even though it's just an awful thought, excuse and terrible dialogue.
