A few weeks ago, two men came to my door to try to convert me. I very quickly told them we're gay. They stood there stunned for a few moments, then looked at each other. ummm don't tell Lexi but while the dogs howl and bark, i inform them that i am a cannibalistic satanist and laugh as they run away. kidding.

Why are men 'gay' and women 'queer'? Why not both gay or both queer?

Queer is actually an umbrella term for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender. It's easier to say than LGBT, an acronym that keeps growing. In my Quaker group, we're now talking about adding an "I" for intersex.
