Well, I don't think this was quite a fixed point. This was more a flexible point in time where humanity could honestly have gone either way.
But, yeah, the planet-wide vote was more than a bit ridiculous. What about the people who are in daylight?
I actually rather liked Courtney as well, and agree that her youth would play nicely against Twelve. Plus, we haven't had that young a companion in quite a while, it'd be interesting to see that dynamic played out in new!Who.
