Another episode I liked! Tiny TARDIS with regular-sized Doctor inside! Walking the tiny TARDIS with his hand, like Addams Family! I might have died a little laughing at that. And Peter Capaldi's dance was adorable. I also liked the conceit of the episode and the 2D villains, I thought they were handled very well.

Clara was hysterical, pretending to be the Doctor, and the Doctor’s reaction to that in the beginning. Also, I liked her with Rigsy. Actually, I just liked Rigsy all around. So, the Doctor called Clara out on her lying (oh Clara honey no) and I don’t even know about her relationship with Danny anymore. I liked it at first, but with every subsequent episode, not so much. There’s just no trust there, is there?

ETA: So, I was thinking about this conversation between the Doctor and Clara at the end:

Clara: “C’mon. Why can’t you say it? I was the Doctor and I was good.”
Doctor: “You were an exceptional Doctor, Clara. Goodness had nothing to do with it.”

And the more I think about it, the more I like it. I really like the differentiation between good and good and how it pretty much explicitly links back to Into the Dalek, with “You could have been a good Dalek” and “I am not a good Dalek. You are a good Dalek.” It also links back to the Doctor’s speech on the beach at the end of the last episode, and I think what I really like about Jamie Mathieson’s writing is that he really, really gets Twelve in the way that I’ve been seeing him all along, but which was despite the writing in previous episodes, not because of, if that makes sense. I think he’s pretty much the best writer when it comes to Twelve, and I hope he gets to do more in the future.
