For the last round of Favorite Clark Scenes With.... I could only come up with 3 more characters. I almost added in Zod, but then I would've felt like I needed to add Davis too, and well, I just decided to leave them both off.

So, this round goes to Kara, Oliver Queen, and Tess Mercer.

ETA:  Thanks to Wingster, who suggested we add Jimmy to this ( Read more... )

Hi Val, it's Maria. I love reading everyone thoughts on their favorite scenes. There are too many Clex scenes that I love. I've been putting a lot of thought into these so I'll eventually put my two cents in. BTW, that scene between Clark/Oliver is from Kandor, not Pandora.:D That happens to be my favorite scene between those two.

Hey Maria :)

And thanks. Kandor, of course. I corrected it. Dont know how I got those 2 mixed up.

I look forward to reading your 2 cents.

For Clark & Kara, Bloodline is also my choice - they really feel like family there. It's a pity S10 didn't give them a single good scene together.

For Clark & Oliver, I like their three scenes in Kandor - especially Oliver calling Jor El "the dude in your ice crystal palace thingie" and this to Clark at the end "I don't think anyone wears that super shield quite like you." It's a rare episode that writes Oliver-as-sidekick perfectly.

For Tess, either the first scene with Clark Luthor or their duel of wits over Lex's diary in Turbulence. (Love Clark being so sly!) The scene you chose is also lovely, with Lex's presence very strong too.

I don't know I'll ever be over the Kara stuff in S10.

Kandor is a rare episode where Oliver's friendship feels real. His affection for Clark seems real. And honestly, most of the time to me? It doesn't.

I was really, really tempted to use the Clark and Tess stuff from Turbulence, because I LOVE the Cless in that episode. The whole cat and mouse game they are playing with each other is so entertaining, and more then a little sexy. I didn't want to choose any of the Tess/Clark Luthor stuff because thats, technially, not our Clark. But its sure a good example of how much chemistry Tom and Cassidy can generate.

No love for the Clark/Oliver scene at the barn in Ambush? Lol. I'll go with their short scene at the engagement party in Icarus where Clark asked him to be his best man.

Agreed about Clark and Kara.

Clark and Jimmy didn't have many good scenes because for a long while Jimmy was acting all jealous about Clark and Chloe. I'd give it to their final scene in Doomsday. Very well acted by both Tom and Aaron I should add.

As for Clark and Tess, either the jet stuff in Turbulence or the deleted scene in Plastique. The Luthor scene obviously is a powerful one as well, but I can't say I feel the same about it anymore.

Actually, that was a decent choice of Clark and Oliver scene, but I have to give it a few points off for Oliver bitching about Tess. Of course, Clark gets a few points for defending her and her contributions.

That Clark and Jimmy scene is also one of my favorites. I think I've narrowed down my choices to 2, and I'll post one tonight.

Why can't you feel the same way about the Cless scene in Luthor? The deleted scene from Plastique is really flirty. I also like the early Cless scene where she tells him he was on her "to do" list. Heh!

:D Awesome line. Safe to say that their scenes were never dull or lacking chemistry. Their very first scene where he saves her is another one of my faves.

The Luthor scene has been partially ruined for me, due to what happened in Finale. The climax of the mansion scene was Clark telling Tess that they would face Lex together and that she wasn't alone anymore. And sadly, that's exactly what happened in Finale when Lex returned. Not blaming Clark for this. He had his hands full as much as anyone in Finale. At least he searched for her while others (like Oliver) didn't even notice she was missing. But I can't help but feel that Clark's pledge in Luthor eventualy was for nothing.

Awww Costas, I understand where you are coming from. I really hated that Tess didn't get any scenes with Clark in the Finale. :(

I love your choices, especially the Clark/Kara one. I'd absolutely have picked the exact same one. It's such a beautiful moment - sincere and genuine, where you really believe how important these two are to each other as their only surviving family ( ... )

Isn't it sad that there aren't that many good Clark/Kara scenes to choose from?

Odyssey is actually one of my favorite Oliver episodes, though no Clark/Oliver scene stands out for me. Maybe the 2 of them fighting each other. But its one of those rare times when Oliver comes across as a real friend who cares about Clark. Hard to think that we started off S8 with Odyssey, and ended it with Doomsday when it comes to Oliver.

I've watched Turbulence many times. The Cless scenes never get old (neither does Jimmy telling Chloe off )

Jimmy is just about the best part of Doomsday. Until he gets killed, of course. I'm torn between 2 different Clark/Jimmy scenes, but I'll make a decision and post one of them tonight.
