Fic: A SECOND OPINION

I wrote this for thursday100plus - the prompt was "Success." It's my rather belated attempt at addressing Alex’s notorious “it’s too late” comment from the end of the season 7 episode “Smile."

Lynn Collins is an original character, another Major Case detective who has had cameo appearances in a couple of my fics. Polanski is her partner.

I really liked this, because they do have some issues between them and even as well as they do together, it only stands to figure that all the angst and pain would get tiring after a while. But it's still hopeful, which I love, and Collins is a really cool character :D

Thank you! Yes, in my head Goren and Eames are both really, really tired at this point. They need a holiday in the WORST way. ;) But yes, there's hope...there's always hope (in my fanfic anyway - I seem to be constitutionally incapable of too much angst)...and I'm so glad you liked Collins. She's the first original character I've given much "screen time" to, and I was nervous about how she would come off.

*g* Yeah, they really do. They've had a pretty rough couple of years. Hehe, well I like that, I think there's always at least a shred of hope, you just have to look for it. Apparently I'm an incurable optimisit at heart ;)

just found your livejournal page. I love all of your stories and how to some new stuff from you soon. Your bobby and alex are so in character and wonderfully written.

Replying VERY belatedly (sorry!) to say thank you so much for the great feedback. I haven't been on LJ much since the fall, and due to RL/work craziness have not been writing much either...sigh. Although I did just post fic...but not LOCI fic (it was the second part of an old StarWars story that I revised and posted for halfamoon). I literally have about a dozen different B/A stories started on my hard drive...all I need is time to work on them. If only one didn't need to sleep. ;)
