Fic: Come By Way of Sorrow (Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Goren/Eames)

This... isn't quite the story I wanted it to be, but I've been fiddling with it for AGES and the many works-in-progress on my hard drive are starting to stress me out, so I'm determined to finish and post some of them.

Thank you very much! I'm so glad you enjoyed the story. And yes...everything I've written about G and E is loosely connected, in my head...all the stories are set at different points along my own little personal timeline for the two of them, according to which they've been in a relationship outside of work since the middle of season 4 (on and off). I have some pretty specific ideas about how they first got together too, but I haven't written that story yet! I guess I'm more interested in how they manage to *stay* together through all the stuff that the show throws at them. There are a lot of first-time fics out there (in any fandom, pretty much, not just this one) but not so many about what happens when the relationship has been going on for years.

Anyway - you're not the first to be confused! I should probably try harder to be clearer about the backstory in my headers or author's notes or something. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to explain...
