Thanks, Tracy. I love those collages, but it was interesting to see drawings and paintings, too, and get a sense of the boy who stayed within the adult who became an artist.

Thanks so much for posting about this--I MUST try to find a way to get to the show before it leaves the Carle. I love this book so, so much.

I must also share the news with my comic/graphic novel/manga-loving daughter that the author of one of her well-loved books drew backgrounds for Marvel. That news might make her day.

Glad you have something to offer your daughter. I think if she googles his name and Marvel she may find some pics. The recent Jules Fieffer exhibit showed his roots drawing some of The Spirit by Will Eisner, but that was a less surprising connection to comics, though still cool.
