My dad hired a no-talent assclown to take pictures of the wedding (a friend of his; he only takes digital pictures, I'm not thrilled). And since one of the things I'm most concerned with for the wedding is the photography, does anyone know (or is anyone?) a photography major/minor student at LSU that would be willing to work in addition to the guy

Did you contact the guy I told you about, Joey?

Also, you can post in the art building on the second floor, that's where all the photo students hang out (the end furthest from the quad).

Make sure to ask to see their portfolio (but since you are a smart girl, I'm sure you knew that).

I didn't contact Joey because my dad had already booked this guy. I figured he was ok until I saw the website (see: Julesy's most recent livejournal entry - that's one of his more professional shots). Did Joey have a website? I'm looking for someone I can get for relatively cheap since I have to pay for this myself (ie under $500 for film, supplies, etc.).

wedding pics are hard...they either look all staged and pose-y or they look bad art school xxxxscenexxx wedding.

I just want someone who has actually taken classes on photography at the least. This guys is a definite amateur. Rah. The only thing that's going to still be around 20 years from now is the husband and the pictures. Pictures are important!

I know a girl who's a photography major who I might be able to hook you up with. She's used me as a model for some pictures... I can get her to give you some examples of her work, she's really excited about photography and I think she'd be willing/totally stoked to do a wedding for you.

There is also some girl in one of my watercolor classes. I'll get you their info.
