Bemused on a Friday

I have just been Un-Friended on FB for the oddest reason I might have imagined. I, evildoer that I am, laughed at someone's meme-pic and shared it on another friend's page because I knew it would brighten their day too. In my brain, I was sharing sunshine and laughter ( Read more... )

Hey! Do you know Chris Hann, a Geordie working in California? He mentioned having an SCA friend in England with the name Silme--is that you?

If you could be caused a moment of sorrow, a pang of hurt not to have a button clicked, then that machine means far, far too much for good health.

Yikes. Indeed. Someone needs to get out more often and interact with real hoomun beings, seems to me.

Because, wow. I wasn't aware that not liking a picture before sharing it was a criminal offense. Or even something that would make Emily Post raise an eyebrow.

Just read couple of days ago the article about the typical quarrel of nowadays (in a nut-shell): "I've posted such a [whatever] at FB and you didn't Like it! You are indifferent to what I am doing and as a consequence to me!"
Also saw rather sane people got really fury just because of being unfriended for some reasons (I btw think that one can friend/unfriend whoever he/she wants without any explanations as that's his/her own business).

I find all this like-related stuff funny as it doesn't come close to me: buddies are also rather sceptical concerning likes, statuses and other pixels on the screen. Though we do have hot disputes in internet, of course, but mostly based on points of view and not on button clicks.

The idea is to combine breakfast food (waffles) with dinner food (grilled burgers), the commonality being that one eats bacon at breakfast and on burgers. So a waffleburger is a burger with bacon, with proper thick waffles for the bun, some kind of maple syrup-mustard sauce, and perhaps a sunny-side egg in there for good measure.

It's... indulgent. :)
