i've been working as a valet attendant for the past three weeks. i.e. i've been parking fancy cars. i needed a temp job to pay for the bills while i am looking for a *real* job (whatever that may be), so i found this thanks to my friend cortney. we are the only two girl valets that i know of. which of course makes us pretty special - ha ha. i know! i get surprised every day that something new happens. honestly. it's been crazy. i really like it. also, i now know all the valet spots in back bay. i just wish i had a car so i could abuse them.

If anyone ever does piss you off you should say, "Well, I could go get your car, but my Phd says I don't give a shit."

at the airport there was this real dickwad tassled loafer-wearing middle-aged jerko who cut me in the security line. I tried to be nice and say, "Oh, there's a queue," but he was like, "The two lines are merging," even though he and I came from the same side and his bags were three people behind me. So I was like, "Go ahead, SIR," and he and he fat gut went through. Then the attendant asked me very nicely if I would take off my shoes, which I did, but when he asked me how I was, I smiled and said, "I'd be a lot better if that guy had his shoes off too!" Well, as it turns out, if you're a jerk and you don't take your shoes off during the security check, they go through all your bags. So the attendant assured me that Mr. Cutsies would get his. And he did. He was still being inspected as we walked away. So it does indeed come back and bite them in the arse! ha ha!

i have to do a few more experiments. nothing big. and to finish writing a paper (that i need kinda badly). i am soooo not looking forward to it.

you cannot forget how to drive a stick! it's like riding a bicycle. really.
