this morning on the train i saw an older man in a suit (definitely not homeless), eating corners of the newspaper he was reading. it was the boston globe sports section, with top two corners already mostly missing. while i was watching him, he took a piece of one of the less eaten corners, folded it a few times, and placed it into his mouth. he ( Read more... )

this is a classic boston crazy person sighting. I was explaining to my step-sister, who's applying to schools up here, how the crazy people in Boston all look sorta normal until you do a double-take and realize they're doing or saying something completely crazy. It's a bit unnerving.

i actually lived in arlington for about 5 years after college (wheaton college in norton, ma)! i went into boston all the time. i actually went to mass college of art for a bit, too. i grew up in chelmsford, a town about 20 min. north of boston.

i don't know ANYONE in this boring town (amesbury), though it's nice to be near the ocean. i would love to maybe get together sometime if that's what you were thinking. :)
