Oh, boy....looks like I've got a lot of expalining to do....

It's a sport. You play it underwater, in this huge sphere in the middle of an arena. There's a goal on each side, and two teams of six try to get the ball in the goal as many times as they can during two five-minute halves.

It would definitely be interesting to watch, but unfortunately I cannot breathe underwater and water seems to affect my fire affinity. Given I find a good water charm, I would consider it. I will definitely watch however.

Just the best sport there ever was! You play it underwater--two teams of six try to get the ball into the opponent's goal within ten minutes, with a break in the middle. Thing is, we need a place to play it. The field's a huge sphere of water, and no one I know has the skill and materials to build one.

Kid, you don't know what you're missing. I never heard of basketball, but blitz is played underwater in a huge sphere. Two goals, two teams of six, whoever scores the most goals in ten minutes wins. Sounds simple, right? Well, once you get in the blitzsphere with enemies comin' at you from every direction, it ain't.

Oh, you bet it is. >D Where I'm from, it was huge--everyone followed blitzball. Even when I wound up in Spira, blitz was pretty much the only thing it and my home had in common. And I'm the best there ever was.
