OK, so this is the first time I've posted blah blah blah on a blog. I supposed I should do this more often, but my life just hasn't been all that interesting for, say, the past two years. Sigh.

I am currently rushing / goofing off in an attempt to get as much translation done for the soulless masters at Nintendo as I possibly can before I leave to ( Read more... )

Dude, this post is more interesting than almost everything I've put up so far! You should definitely update regularly.

1. I thought you already quit Nintendo?
2. I would definitely like to read both of these!
3. Interesting idea(s). I think that has the potential to be a really cool project. I might have already told you this, but I've been playing WarCraft RPG lately. We're doing a Horde campaign (where we're all Orcs, Tauren, or Pandarin), and it's been pretty cool. I've been trying to develop my own D&D campaign setting, but it been slow going.
4. I'm sensing a theme...
5. Do you play City of Heroes?

Wow, my first response. I had no idea there were others out there who were gonna read this. Well, OK, I kinda did. This *is* the InterWeb, after all. Spread the word so I can get more responses, an online community of my very own, and the cataclysmic power that will enable me to corner the world wheat markets ( ... )

Sweet. I wish I could work from home. Do they pay you much less now that you're a free-agent?

Everyone around me these days seems to be writing or aspiring to write. Personally, I aspire to aspire to write. Apart from some vague short story/comic book ideas (and the afore mentioned fantasy RPG setting) I don't really have anything I'm compelled to try to write. I figure lack of writing ideas is a good indicator that I probably am not destined to be a writer.

City of Heroes is loads of fun. I don't own it yet (so far I've only played it a few times at Mur's house), but I want it. The main thing that has kept me from going out and buying it is that I know deep-down that I don't really have time for it. Of course, if we both had it, Drs. Von Kliegel and Frankenstien could team-up once again!

Not bad, Stu. You quit and they rehired you as a consultant. I thought that only happened in Dilbert.

For my own part, I, too, am happily swinging the freelance translation gig while keeping my day job...which is also mostly translation/interpretation.

Go me!

As for City of Heroes, peep this: Boom
