Lesson planning will take an age when you start. It was taking me 3-4 hours to plan for 1 hour to start with. Of course, that is simply not feasible to continue in the long run, but as you get to know ideas about what you want to do, it will start to come more easily. Probably the best piece of advice I could give to my past self now is: Don't plan what you're going to do. Plan what they are going to do, then figure out what you need to do to make it happen.
