Soldiers are mourned by their families, if they had lots of friends or community involvement, then there is a larger turnout or even local news coverage.
I smiled when I noted that the Marines were listed by number, not names... I always preferred it that way. I served for myself and for a higher power, but never for fame or rememberance.

I've never heard a cadence that asks for recognition beyond friends and family. ;-)
